FT Nanny in Highland Park (75205) DNT/Mockingbird
We’re still in that lovely newborn ‘shock and awe’ phase with our adorable baby girl —shocked that we’re so smitten with this little person; awed by the number of diapers someone so little can go through in a single day!
She is only two months old, and we are loving every second we get to spend with her. However, mom’s maternity leave will run out soon so we are starting the search now for a Full-Time Nanny to step in for mom and dad as they return to their full-time jobs.
Our priority is to find a seasoned nanny that is experienced with encouraging little ones to meet developmental milestones by incorporating the appropriate mix of educational activities and sensory play, as well as implementing age-appropriate daytime schedules. There will also be the usual tasks associated with newborns—washing bottles, changing diapers, laundry, linens, and paced-bottle feedings. For now, she naps several times throughout the day, but we know that her naptimes will continually decrease as she gets older—and we can’t wait for all of the fun to come with longer wake windows!
Although her growth and development will be our top priority, during naptimes, we would like assistance with some basic housekeeping tasks, such as light laundry, making the bed in the primary bedroom, loading and unloading the dishwasher, unloading groceries for the week, and keeping her play area and nursery picked up. We do have a housekeeper that comes to our house once a week.
We have a miniature bernedoodle named Harper who is slowly adjusting to her new role as a big sister, so she may need some extra love (or a potty break!) during naptime, too.
Reliability and flexibility are top priorities for us. Just as our employers count on us to show up each day ready to jump in, we ask the same of you. Having a reliable car, being on time, and again, being flexible as our work needs dictate is of the utmost importance to both of us.
Occasionally, one of us will need to travel for work, and we’ll ask for extra-duty—to stay late, for the night, or even a weekend. Now and then we’ll request a date night or Saturday daytime stay to catch up on work, all of life’s errands and other commitments.
She is already growing right before our eyes, and we can’t believe how quickly these first two months have gone by. It’s been such a special time welcoming her into our family, and we’re looking forward to meeting the person who will partner with us to provide our girl the best possible care in the coming months and years!
