FT Nanny Manager in Flower Mound (75028) Largo Dr/ Preakness
School’s out! It’s time to play!
We are looking for a Full-Time Nanny Manager to keep the kids happy, the house clean, and to fill our summer full of terrific memories!
We’ve got a 3-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter who go nonstop all day long. We’re a Flower Mound family where dad works in and out of the home and mom maintains office hours (and some irregular hours, too!) as a physician. We’ve got lots of goals for our kids this summer and need an experienced (5+ years, please), highly qualified and nurturing Nanny Manager to get our summer off to a great start.
Our kids are all about playtime with Duplo’s, magnatiles, and adventures at the park. They both have active imaginations that come alive with masterpieces created at their art table or role playing. Pretend you’re their guest in a restaurant and they’ll take your ‘order’ in no time flat! They love to explore the neighborhood on walks and take our 7-month-old miniature Schnauzer on puppy walks, too.
The kids will split their time between structured instruction and lots of creative play. So far, we’ve got gymnastics and tutoring on the schedule with outside instructors. We ask that you bring your experience, crafty ideas, and tried and true teaching tips to creating a loosely structured arts and crafts program and a reading and writing plan as part of most day’s activities. We’re also working towards a bit of personal responsibility and teaching the kids to pick up the messes they make after each activity. As a means of keeping mom and dad in the loop throughout the day, we’re asking for pictures of the day’s activities to help chronicle the summertime fun.
For meals (mostly just lunch), we stress the importance of nutritious choices. Our Nanny Manager will need to prepare healthy lunches either for home during the summer or for packed lunches for school.
Once school resumes in August, we’ll need you to arrive early enough to handle the morning drop-off at preschool and kindergarten. Afternoon pick-up and snacks follow later. During school hours, your time can be spent tending to many of the household basics—making beds, grocery shopping, running errands, tossing in a few loads of laundry, and just keeping everything wiped down and sticky-free. There will probably be a few random duties now and then—things like taking the car to have the oil changed or taking the kids to shop for teacher gifts—but nothing too out of the ordinary. Before and after the holidays, we’ll undoubtedly need an extra set of hands to help with setting up and taking down all the decorations.
We are looking for a proactive and energetic Nanny Manager with a clean driving record, terrific written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated understanding of household management (including home maintenance, cleaning methods, and home organization). We have always loved our nannies dearly and are looking for a member of our extended family to come on board, love our kids, and tend to all those pesky details of keeping a home running smoothly. We hope you’ll make our summer the best one ever! Must be covid vaccinated
