Family in Buffalo Grove is seeking an active, patient, and responsible Nanny Manager. Upon arrival, Nanny will begin household task lists (eg. chilcren’s laundry, tidying up playroom, organizing, meal prep for the children), then pick up preschool child (will need to have reliable transportation and an excellent driving record), and feed him lunch. When he goes down for a nap, Nanny will do dishes and finish household tasks for the day. She will then feed him a snack, pick up older child from school, feed her a snack, engage them in activities, provide homework support, and bathe the children. It is important that the nanny loves to play with kids and is actively interested in their interests, but can also maintain boundaries and be firm, but loving, when necessary. In case of any shutdowns, Nanny should be comfortable with the idea of supervising remote learning if required (this is not the scenario parents prefer).
Younger child was receiving speech therapy and OT, but is now just needing to keep up with some exercise to further develop his oral motor skills. He also has higher sensory needs, which means he needs some assistance learning how to self-regulate his body and guide him into activities that allow him to meet his sensory needs (plenty of active movement throughout the day). He also has food allergies. No prior experience is necessary in these areas (thought it would be a plus!), but Nanny should be willing to be trained to support these needs.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, detail-oriented, energetic yet calming, and be seeking a long-term fit. Nanny must be COVID vaccinated and cautious. Both parents work – some in the office and some at home.
