Full-Time Nanny in River Oaks
- 10 days of vacation per year, 3-5 days of sick time
- 9 Paid holidays: New year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Family in River Oaks is seeking a caring, nurturing, and energetic Nanny for their newborn. Candidate will be experienced, confident, and capable in all areas of infant, baby, and toddler care, including feeding, changing, dressing, bathing, putting down for naps, and eventually potty training. Nanny will engage the child in indoor and outdoor activities and play that will encourage growth and development such as reading, music, walks, and in the future educational activities, games, and arts/crafts. Additional duties will include child’s laundry, preparing child’s meals/snacks, organizing bedroom toys, light housekeeping and tidying child’s area and common areas (dishes, counters, floors, etc.), and will expand into arranging playdates/outings, and transporting to/from activities as child gets older. Candidate will maintain a safe and stimulating environment, have a love of children, be self-motivated, and have strong moral character. Nanny must have common sense, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, in order to be able to handle emergency situations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic, positive, communicative, and patient. Second language (including sign language) is a plus. Both adults work, with Mom working part-time (from home now and part-time post-pandemic), and Dad working full-time (a mix of in-office and at home). Nanny should have flexibility for occasional, pre-planned overnights.
NOTE: Candidates must be following all procedures advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for Coronavirus exposure prevention outside of their work hours (masks, hand washing, limiting contact/group sizes, social distancing, etc.). Initial interviews will be conducted virtually using Facetime, Zoom, etc.
