Full Time Nanny in Fort Worth (76107) Roaring Springs/Westover
So, here’s the deal…this isn’t the usual posting for a Full-Time Nanny…it’s better!
I’m a single dad that gets to spend every other week with my four terrific kids. The kids, ages 8-, 10-, 11-, and 13-years-old, split their time between my house and their mom’s and we’re doing our best to make this arrangement as smooth as possible for everyone involved. The kids all attend a private classical Christian school in Ft. Worth which means the academic demands on each of them can be quite significant at times.
Here’s where it gets a bit tricky because I am looking for a unicorn of a nanny—one who preferably has some exposure to this kind of academic model or is comfortable helping with rigorous homework demands. And…in addition to the homework help and supervision, I will need you to handle some light housekeeping tasks and meal prep on the days you’re here. Add to
this my hope for someone who considers themselves to be a self-starter, motivated to get tasks accomplished, active and engaging with the kids, and focused on developing a trusting relationship with each of them. It’s a lot to ask, I know.
But here’s where it gets really good…you will have every other week off! Half the work for all the pay! To compensate for a somewhat unconventional schedule that includes seven straight days of nannying (including the weekend), you will enjoy the luxury of the following seven days off. And in the summer, the on/off time is doubled—two weeks on; two weeks off, but again, full-time pay.
The final ask is a big one—and that is your availability to work holidays and travel with the family as needed. As we split the holidays with mom, one Christmas I have the whole crew and the next year she has everyone. That means every other year you would be needed for holiday stays and/or travel.
I know this type of schedule won’t appeal to everyone, but I’m confident, for the right person, we’ll strike a rhythm of routine that will be enjoyable and beneficial for all of us—especially you and the kids.
