FT Nanny Manager in Southlake (76092) Hwy 114/Dove Rd
We’re the new family in town and we’re on a steep learning curve for all things Texan.
We are recent transplants from Boston to Southlake so everything—home, school, friends, and more! —is new to all of us. We are looking for a warm, welcoming, and experienced Mothers Helper to step in for after-school care.
Our kids, ages 10-, 9-, and 7-years-old, are making the transition well but obviously, still need some afternoon supervision. All of the kids are sweet, fun loving and excite to meet you. Going to a new school, joining new teams, and making new friends—it’s a lot to take on all at once, but they are each finding their way. Mom and dad both work full-time (Mom from home a few days a week) so once the final school bell rings, we need help with all the afterschool/early evening activities and to make sure each kid is ready to roll the next morning.
Your day with our family begins with helping mom with:
- kids’ laundry
- running errands
- grabbing groceries
- organize and tidy up any child related areas
- unload and load dishwasher and wipe counters down
- help manage kids’ schedules
Then when school is out we will need you to pick everyone up at the school bus stop and on to practices, playdates, or home for a snack. By late afternoon, we ask that you have checked backpacks, cleared out lunch boxes, and made sure any homework is complete and returned to its rightful folder, book, or backpack. It’s also very important to us as parents that you keep us in the loop about our kids’ school, sports, and friend situations. Helping us stay well-informed about the comings and goings of their lives is a top priority.
Finally, between tackling homework and afternoon carpooling, we ask that you take care of the kids’ dinner. They’re not especially picky, so kid-friendly cuisine is usually the norm. It takes a fair amount of organization and energy to corral our crew and help us stay on track, so bring your best, experienced self and show us the friendly Texas way of getting things done.
Who knows, we may all be saying, “ya’ll” and “Howdy!” before long!
