We’re a fun and fast-moving crew and sometimes we can be a bit messy. There are meals
and snacks and games and crafts and toys and more!
Don’t get us wrong—we’re certainly working on keeping things orderly and generally
picked up, but with four kids (seven and under) and two 10-year-old Rottweilers, it can be a full-
time job just to keep the house orderly and everyone in clean clothes.
That’s why we need a stellar, crazy-about-cleanliness Full-Time Housekeeper to tend to
the crumbs, the dust bunnies, and all the usual messes that can come with a busy family with lots
of young kids, both working parents, and two big dogs. The kids are cared for by a full-time
nanny, so our housekeeper can focus on just the details of keeping our home gloriously clean and
We are seeking someone with experience in two specific areas—caring for and cleaning
high-end interiors and clothing and in working with large families and their large homes. Our
current home is a temporary residence (probably for the next two years) until construction is
complete on our new home.
Mom and dad both work from home most of the time and stay busy throughout the day.
A typical day would include cleaning the bathrooms, the floors, and lots of laundry because,
believe us—we can crank out the dirty clothes like pros! Much of mom and dad’s clothes will
require you to take them to the dry cleaners. Keeping the pantry and fridge stocked is also a
mighty effort—somebody is always hungry! —so we’ll need you to grocery shop regularly in
order to keep everyone’s tummy full and to keep cleaning products in ample supply!
When all that is complete (whew!), and as time allows, we ask that you organize drawers,
cabinets, and closets that have become disheveled over time. As appointments are needed from
third-party maintenance and repair personnel, you will be responsible for scheduling and
overseeing their work in the house and outside. About the outside—we kindly ask that you
handle the dogs’ daily ‘deposits’ in the yard to prevent any tracking into the house.
The end goal is to keep the house ‘party ready’ so that we are comfortable inviting others
in at a moment’s notice for a meal or just a visit. Bring your best professional self, add in a fair
amount of intuitiveness in terms of staying ahead of the household needs, and a self-starting
attitude and we’ll have a partnership made in Spic ‘n Span heaven!
