Part-Time Nanny Manager
Mom is looking for a Part-Time Nanny Manager with loads of flexibility to help
with her 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. She’s a nurse practitioner who delivers babies and well, that just naturally lends itself to lots of irregular hours. However, for this part-time position, she primarily needs someone to come an hour or so before school is out and remain until early evening.
The kids get out of school at 3:30 and 3:00, respectively, so ideally, she is looking for someone to come at 2:00 to do a bit of tidying up before leaving to pick up the kids. She has a housekeeper, so it’s not a lot of serious cleaning, mostly just picking up from the morning chaos of getting everyone out the door and off to school and work. Primary household responsibilities would be handling the kids’ laundry, grocery shopping, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and any other errands Mom needs taken care of.
The nanny will pick up the kids from school and get them to any scheduled after-school activities or home for snacks and playtime. There will be light cooking for the kids for dinner, but never anything elaborate, and then on to bath time. Mom is usually home by 7:00 although every day is always a little different; this is where the flexibility is especially needed. The kids have never had a nanny before so this will be a new experience for them and mom and an opportunity for you to help them all make the adjustments. She fully expects the kids to be overjoyed to have the guidance and attention from you without the distractions she
frequently juggles as a working parent. The whole family is hopeful and excited to meet someone who truly loves children and sees each day as an opportunity to better engage with them. Mom does work on call overnights so candidate must be willing to work overnights for mom.
