FT Nanny in New Haven, Connecticut
We are a Montessori home and are thriving with our 28-month-old son. If you are familiar with the Montessori model or highly open to learning, we may be the perfect fit for you your Part-Time Nanny in New Haven, Connecticut!
Our 2+-year-old is an independent and easy-going little guy. He loves cleaning and building with his toddler-sized playsets. He’s a fun-loving little dancer with a deep love of Elmo and loves trips to area museums. He’s got a full summer ahead of him with music lessons, classes at MyGym, an outdoor music class, and Italian lessons. Lots to do and lots of fun to have!
When he’s not attending an organized class or lesson, we ask that you incorporate educational play into downtime and schedule daily activities and/or outings. A typical day would begin with preparing breakfast and having a sit-down meal with him. Afterwards, maybe take in a walk and then off to an outing at a park or museum. Afternoons are for lunch, reading, and working together on educational projects such as puzzles, building make-believe skyscrapers, or making healthy treats in the kitchen. There will usually be a bit of laundry that needs tending to in between adventures.
You’ll need all your creativity for simple-to-do crafts and projects and lots of energy for impromptu dance parties. He’s a bundle of energy and curious about everything. We don’t indulge him in baby talk and we parent him in such a way that he learns what is acceptable to our family. We’ll need your full support of our methods and your commitment to consistently parent as we do in our absence. You’ll need to be assertive, adaptive to change, and receptive to our corrections. Just as we are working to instill key character traits in our son, we hope you also will model them for him as well—traits such as trustworthiness, reliability, and dependability.
We’ve got a ‘nanny car’ especially for your use when getting to activities and lessons. As mom is both an intern and a full-time student, your schedule would be mostly set, but may need to be tweaked on occasion as her responsibilities and/or class load changes.
