Full Time Nanny in Dallas (75244) NDT/Forest
Changes are coming to our house and we want you in on it from the start!
We are two full-time working parents with both young and older kids. Naturally, our 19-year-old, who will be home this summer, is totally self-sufficient. Our 18-month-old daughter is a precious toddler and soon-to-be big sister to our newest arrival—a brand new baby girl expected sometime around July 25th.
As our Full-Time Nanny we’re looking for someone who can be both engaging with our toddler and uber-attentive to our newborn. Most of your time the first year will be focused on the baby and helping our toddler become the kind and loving big sister we know she will be.
Our toddler goes to preschool Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. throughout the summer. Once the school year begins, she will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the same hours. We’ll need you to help with getting our girl fed in the morning and ready for school, including packing her big girl lunch. Some days mom and dad will handle school drop off; other days we’ll ask you to get her there. The same holds true for after-school pick-up. And because school can be so tiring for such a little lady, our girl usually takes a 1-2 hour nap every afternoon once she gets home.
With the arrival of our newborn, you will be responsible for some of the daytime feedings, following a suggested sleep schedule for daytime naps, and providing developmental stimulus for her. While the baby sleeps and our toddler is at school, we ask that you help with bottle cleanings, the kids’ laundry, and general upkeep. We have a housekeeper, so all we ask is for help with general tidying up.
Our newborn won’t be the only baby for too long as we’re expecting a new puppy sometime in November. It will be a house of all the littles for a season, but we know we’ll blink and both the baby and the puppy will have changed so much in just a matter of months.
We want our nanny to have a nurturing spirit, lots of energy, communicate well, and be off-the-charts reliable. We know every day will be a bit different with a toddler, a baby, and a puppy coming in November, and that’s the fun of it—never a dull moment with lots of baby giggles and puppy kisses all around!
We’ll need you to begin mid-July in preparation for the baby and for a special time with just our toddler. Most of the time Dad is out of the house at his office and Mom splits her time away and at her home office. Naturally, this will be adjusted in the first few weeks after the baby comes home.
It will be an exciting summer with lots of firsts for us and we hope you’ll be with us every step of the way!
