Full-Time Household Assistant in Tanglewood (extensive overnights)

Retired couple in the Tanglewood area is seeking a flexible and dependable Household Assistant. This is a very unique position, as the family spends approximately 35-40% of their time at a residence out of the country. Year-round duties include:

• Managing contractors/vendors – pool, plumber, electrician, gardener, etc.; being extremely observant and proactive of items that need to be completed and assign them/follow them to completion as needed; promptly report any issues that need to be brought to employer’s attention that cannot be problem solved directly
• ​Sweep exterior areas
• Run errands, go to the grocery store, keep items stocked (will be more when employers are home)
• Assist the housekeeper as needed
• When employers are not in this residence, the candidate must be able to do all overnights at the home. There are specific quarters where the candidate will stay with a bedroom and bathroom.

When the family is home, the largest additional duties will be care of two small (12 lb) Havanese: brushing, feeding, and walking them.

The candidate must be:

• A dog lover
• Organized, with exceptional attention to detail
• Smart and resourceful
• Active and energetic; have the stamina for the stairs in the home
• Reliable/dependable; mature and responsible
• A team player, working in coordination with the family’s long-time housekeeper and willing to pitch in
• Able to do all overnights required
• Plus, but not required: cooking skills and willing to cook 2x/week (would come later and stay later
