Entrepreneurial parents are seeking a patient, flexible, proactive long-term Nanny Manager for their two children. Nanny will engage the children in age-appropriate, indoor and outdoor activities; A nanny who likes to get outside with the children is a must as the children spend half the day outside, 2 hours outside in the AM and PM. Nanny will need to be able to swim and enjoy long hikes. Nanny will prepare meals/snacks, transport children to/from school and activities (excellent driving record required; on-the-job car provided), and schedule/manage children’s calendar and activities. The ideal nanny will be organized, flexible, proactive, and have excellent common sense. Candidate should be energetic and fun, but able to firmly maintain calm and authority in a warm, loving manner. The 8-year-old has dyspraxia (sensory processing disorder with mild symptoms) and eczema (requires diet restrictions).
During the school year, children normally attend school 8:30am-2:30pm. During COVID-19 the private school may provide a full days’ worth of curriculum for each child every day that must be managed and executed by the nanny. Household management tasks will include the following and need to be done even when the children are not attending school: ·
- Keeping common areas and children’s areas neat and tidy (including dishes/dishwasher)
- Organizing children’s bedrooms and play area
- Family laundry
- Grocery shopping and errand running
- Meal preparation for the children (protein and veggie, no special skills required)
- Managing household appointments including scheduling maintenance
- Manage the maintenance of the nanny car
- Schedule and manage the housekeeper
- Manage online orders
Candidate will need to be reliable and dependable, detail-oriented, neat and tidy, and discreet. Nanny Manager must follow directions and use their initiative. Both parents run a family business, often required to be at the same meetings at the same time. They also occasionally work from the home office. The family would like the nanny to accompany them for international travel (once or twice a year for a week at a time at most), and will need the nanny to work on Martin Luther King Day, Veterans Day, Columbus and President’s Day.
